Hi there,

I’m a social and developmental psychologist at the University of Richmond.

My research explores how rigid social expectations and conformity pressure shape people’s identities, motivation, and behavior. For example, I study how rigid gender norms affect people’s motivation to be gender conforming, as well as how this relates to real-world outcomes such as male aggression, political bias, prejudice against LGBTQ+ people, and anti-environmentalism.

My website is under development, but my CV is available at the link above. There, you can learn more about my other research interests, teaching, mentorship, and applied work.
